Terms of use

The terms under which inoku.com is published: what you may do with the content and the brand files, what we don't promise, and which law applies.

These terms apply to inoku.com and to the files it serves. They are short because the site is simple: it publishes text, a few images and some brand files, and it lets you send us a message. By using the site you agree to them.

Who publishes the site

The site is published by Inoku, Larnaka, Cyprus. The full details are in the legal notice.

Content licence

Unless a page says otherwise, the text on this site is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0). You may copy, quote and adapt it, including for commercial purposes, if you credit Inoku and link to the page you took it from.

The licence covers our own writing. It doesn’t cover:

  • the logo, symbol and other brand files, which are dealt with below;
  • material we quote or cite from others, which stays under its own terms;
  • the names Inoku, Inoku Verified™, Inoku OS and Inoku Labs.

Where we publish code or data under a separate licence, that licence applies and the page will say so.

Brand files

You may use the logo and symbol files on the brand page to refer to Inoku: in an article, a talk, a list of partners or a link to this site. Please follow the usage rules on that page.

You may not use them to suggest that Inoku endorses, certifies or has evaluated you or your product unless we’ve said so in writing. You may not alter the files, register them or anything similar as your own mark, or use them for a product that isn’t ours.

No warranty

The site describes research in progress. We publish what we know with sources and correct mistakes when we find them. Even so, the content is provided “as is”. We make no warranty that it is complete, current or fit for any purpose, and nothing on it is professional advice.

Statements about what Inoku is building are statements of intent, not promises of delivery.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss or damage arising from your use of the site or your reliance on anything published on it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for intent or gross negligence, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

We link to papers, articles and other sites because they are sources, not because we vouch for them. We have no control over their content and accept no liability for it. If a link points to something that has changed for the worse, let us know.

Messages you send us

When you write to us you confirm that you may share what you send, and you allow us to use it to reply. We treat it as described in the privacy policy. Don’t send confidential information before we’ve agreed in writing to receive it.

Acceptable use

Don’t attack the site, flood its forms or scrape it in a way that harms it. Security research under our disclosure policy is welcome.

Changes

We may change these terms. The date at the top of the page shows when they last changed. A change applies from publication and doesn’t affect what you did before.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Cyprus. The courts of Larnaka, Cyprus, have jurisdiction, unless mandatory consumer law gives you the right to go to court where you live.

If any part of these terms is found invalid, the rest stands.
